you have put the pressure on, lady. i got on tonight and was all “why do i have a bajillion new followers? have i done anything other than complain and reblog people recently?” and i then i went like, 20 pages back, and i was like, “oh. shit. now i have to turn it on.”
i just asked stephen if i had mid-90s porn hair, and he said “umm. yes.” i kinda look like jenny mccarthy on singled out. (i’m sorry, pigtails are the only way to give my hair some volume.)
i think my favorite thing about “single ladies” (beyond the obvious things to love) is that beyonce name-checks dereon jeans. i mean, i would totally do the same thing if i had a successful recording contact and still needed to hock my mom’s bedazzled denim. it’s just kind of cute to me, that brand loyalty.
not a good eater

my secret fear
is that i sound like elizabeth hasselbeck when i say “barack obama”. i spent three years in college in the midwest and had enough friends from the chicagoland area that my “a” vowels have really changed, and almost every time i say our beloved president’s name, i am afraid i sound like her.
i never like sundays anymore.

the best thing about watching the inaugural proceedings with a room full of elementary schoolers was listening to them scream and clap for barack obama and joe biden. this is the kind of hero worship we want to inspire in our children. i got a little teary when they started chanting “yes we can”.
