there is a lot on my plate and i’m not even hungry.
stephen was at a work party a couple of weeks ago and his boss asked him where i was. “she’s with her little sister” (through big brothers big sisters of nyc) he replied. “and when does she sleep?” his boss asked.
you guys, i am a little overwhelmed. i feel like i am doing a lot of things right now (working a time-consuming job, planning a wedding, mentoring a little sister, training to run longer than 3 miles, being a good friend, being a good family member, being a good fiancee, keeping my house clean, cooking things on the stove and not just in the microwave) and i am not sure that i am doing any of those things well. so there are some things falling by the wayside, including things that usually give me great joy but that i simply have no time for right now.
anyways. i don’t know why i’m telling you this other than these are the thoughts i’m having, and i need a record so that next time i am tempted to say “yes! of course!” i instead say “maybe.”
