I’m ON tv for another week @Movie Mob! They have me seeing New in Town tonight - a movie I’ve never seen a trailer or a preview for, so I’m a little worried. But I like Renee and I like romantic comedies; I just hope it’s a Runaway Bride and not a Just Like Heaven.
peter, you should read the new yoker article “the cobra” by tad friend about marketing movies before (or after) you see this. this is one of the movies that tim palen (whom the article is about) is working on, and it’s originally called “chilled in miami” and he is worried about cutting a trailer because he doesn’t think he’ll be able to sell it with anything that happens in the movie. anyways, i read the article and then immediately began seeing previews and ads, and it was really interesting to sort of know the evolution of it all.
anyways, i hear renee and harry connick are what “romantic chemistry looks like.” enjoy!
